Identification help - American War of Independence

Question for American Revolution/War of Independence experts - could this figure be AWI 11s British Guard or Fusilier advancing?

Its hard to see the detail but from what I can see it looks unlikely.

The tricorne is too pointy and appears to have a ball tuft rather than a cockade and it looks like there he has a sword though from this angle it could just be a lonnnng bayonet.

I would expect a Fusilier to wear a pointy bearskin anyway.

Possibly a French soldier?

Thanks Ross - good call.

I think it is AWI 18s French Light Infantry Advancing - there is a picture elsewhere on this blog if you want to take a look.

The base has been filed but the remains of "AWI" can be seem so its definitely from this range.
