I am indebted to Harry for a copy of a very early Miniature Figurines catalogue. This includes the HO/OO range (20mm); the first S Range figures (Ancients, Hundred Years War, Medieval, English Civil War, Jacobite Rebellion, Seven Years War, American War of Independence, Napoleonic, Crimean, and Franco-Prussian War), 30mm wargames figures with moveable arms, and some 54mm figures. It includes some brief uniform and painting notes.
Prices are given in pounds, shillings and pence but also with decimal equivalents, which suggests it dates from just before decimalisation, which happened on 15th February 1971.
The catalogue is particularly notable for having 21 black and white photographs of S Range figures with code numbers attached - this is very rare and gives some definitive identifications for some Jacobite Rebellion, Seven Years War, and other figures.
I have posted these photographs below, and will shortly add them to the previous posts for each of these figures.
The catalogue also states the intention of changing all cavalry figures to separate riders and horses. All the illustrated mounted figures are one piece castings.
As mentioned on Vintage Wargaming, I have also tracked down a couple of copies of the Miniature Figurines House Magazine Minimag, from a year or two later. In due course I hope to post some of the plates, of Peter Heath line drawings, and come of the articles and uniform notes contained in them.

On the subject of catalogues and sorting. Once more this morning I used your site to help with identifying Mini figs, this time a Crimean Russian Gun crew.
I have a lot with some very high quality conversions in it and time and again you have proved a life saver in finding the originals.

Thanks John. That Crimean War range is one of my all time favourites. I must see about trying my vintage renges Crimeans out with Command and Colours napoleonic - I think it might work quite well

Re your question in your second comment (which has got lost somewhere between approval and publication):
I have an undated Minifigs catalogue which must be around 1974 (it is post S Range and includes the Series 1 strip 15mm figures). It has no mention of the Middle Earth range but it does have lists and photos for the "World of Aureola Rococo" fantasy 25 mm range. I suspect this was short lived - I certainly never saw them - and may even have been produced under licence? The Middle Earth range were certainly post S Range and I suspect after this catalogue, as they were around for sometime. So the Aureola Rococo range would seem to have been earlier.
I think I may have another Minifigs catalogue of a similar vintage around but just not to hand - if I do come across it I will see if the Middle Earth figures are included and if there is a date on it, and if so post another comment.
It would be very interesting to see the list and pics - the only Aureolo Rococo I know was much later in the 80s so this must have been a short lived attempt that, as you say was shelved. David as I said the catalogue is undated and could well be late eighties - I don't know when 1st Generation Minifigs came out - so the sequence could be the other way round, I'ii continue to look for the second catalogue I mentioned. If you don't hear back from me in say two weeks feel free to chase me up.

I've found another post S Range catalogue, this one is dated 1978 in biro on the cover.
No Middle Earth range in it. It has lists and some photographs for the Dungeons and Dragons 25mm range ("manufactured under exclusive licence from TSR Hobbies Inc.)and the Valley of the Four Winds 25mm.
This was the catalogue I was looking forward - I'm unlikely to find anything further now.
Ah well, thanks for looking. The search goes ever on.
I am intending to sort through a lot of wargames related papers to refile them over the next ten days or so and it may just be that an advert in a magazine or a review etc may pop up, in which case I will let you know - but don't hold your breath!
